How to connect an existing alarm system

You can connect an existing alarm system to the DANHAG APP-control.
If the alarm is triggered, you will be informed via SMS and call immediately.

GSM-FB-Alarm

To connect the alarmsystem, you will need a connection cable with cimp contact which you plug in into socket no.13 of the 14-pin connector (see picture above). This connection cable is available at our onlineshop.

electrical connection

The alarminput needs a defined +12v signal as long as the alarm is triggered.

Most factory installed alarm systems are using a siren wich is powered by a backup accu and controlled via the vehicles data-bus. There will no +12v signal available. However, on most models of the VAG-group (Audi, VW, Seat, Skoda) you can customize the behaviour of the flashers using "VCDS". If you configure the flashers to light permanently when the alarm is triggered, you can connect the alarm input directly to the flashers.

Encode

To encode this option, you will need a fully functional version of VCDS or ask our installation partner.

 Skoda Octavia III

  1. STG 09 > Zugriffsberechtigung 31347 > Anpassung
  2. Kanal "Dynamische Blinkmodi-DWA_Alarm_Blinken" > auf "aktiv" setzen
  3. Kanal "Leuchte18BLK HLA60-Lichtfunktion B 18" > auf "Aktive Blinkfunktion hat ein auf 1 gesetztes zugeordnetes Bit in pa_dynamisch_blinken" setzen

Configuration

To enable the APP-control to differ between normal flashing and a triggered alarm, you have to confiure the alarm delay to about 3 seconds. A delay of 3 seconds means, that an alarm signal has to be present for 3 seconds without interruption to be recognized.

You can configure the alarm delay using either our "SMS-Configurator" or by sending the following SMS to the APP-control:

12345;40=3;#

12345 is exemplary for your password. The default value is "12345".
