Suitable for the following vehicles with auxiliary heating:
- Mercedes B-class (w246) 2011 to 2018
Requirement
A factory-fitted parking heater and the ‘Heat button’ marked in the picture are required. A radio remote control is not required.
The DANHAG APP control can be used to control the parking heater if your vehicle is no longer supported by ‘Mercedes ME’.
Connection
The APP control unit is connected to a plug on the back of the climate control panel using a vehicle-specific adapter cable.
No cables need to be disconnected or modified. It is not necessary to code the vehicle or the heater.
Function overview
- Switching the parking heater via APP or SMS
- 5 authorised phone numbers
- 24h timer function
- Connection option for external button
- Alarm input
- Temperature monitoring (with optional temperature sensor)
- GPS localisation (optional)
Network coverage
Future-proof thanks to 4G (LTE) technology.
The APP control v11x not only supports 4G (LTE) but also 3G (UMTS) and 2G (GSM) mobile networks.
This ensures the best possible accessibility and functionality in all common mobile phone networks in Europe.
GPS tracking
The APP control unit has a connection for an external GPS receiver. When the ignition is switched on, the position is determined every second. When the ignition is switched off, the GPS receiver is only activated during the query. If you request the position by text message, you will receive a text message with the current coordinates of the vehicle and a link to ‘Google Maps’ where the vehicle position is displayed on the map.
I don't need it, my vehicle already has GPS localisation installed.
A ‘backup solution’ can also be useful in this case. Professional thieves have specialised in deactivating the factory alarm and tracking systems and can switch them off within a few seconds.
GPS functionality is available as an option. Please select ‘with GPS’ when ordering.
Alarm input
The APP remote control has an alarm input to which you can connect the output of an existing alarm system. In the event of an alarm, you will be informed immediately by phone call and text message.
The alarm system must output a +12V signal in the event of an alarm.
The alarm system must output a +12V signal in the event of an alarm.
Why do we control the heating via SMS and not via the Internet?
Some innovative ‘start-up’ companies use a server solution to control the heating. This means that the app communicates with a server via a mobile data connection and the server in turn communicates with the heating system. In our opinion, this approach has some disadvantages:
- If the ‘Startup’ no longer exists in a few years, the server will also disappear and you will no longer be able to use the device.
- A good mobile phone reception / internet connection is always required for the function.
- If many people want to switch on the heating at the same time in the morning and evening, there may be delays.
SMS, on the other hand, is decentralised and therefore manufacturer-independent. Experience has shown that sending SMS messages also works in places where mobile internet is not available.

Vehicle manufacturers are constantly developing their vehicles and making changes as part of the model update.
Many vehicles are also available in countless equipment variants.
We do not have the opportunity to test our devices in all vehicles or equipment variants.
It is therefore possible that the devices we offer may not function as intended in some vehicle models or versions and/or may function as intended and / or cause error entries.
In this case, we will of course take the device back.
We will not reimburse any costs incurred for troubleshooting, installation, etc.
